Personalized Placemat

Posted in : design blahg

This was recently done just in time for Valentine’s Day. It’s the first time I’ve been approached to do something unique like this! This artwork will go on a placemat. The client wanted to give her child something different; she bought a children’s and wanted me to design a matching placemat!

finalized the colour!

Posted in : random blahg

Hi all!

For those who remember and follow me on FB (if you don’t you are missing out… so go “like” the page now!)
Late last year I posted some colour combinations for my group to choose from… over 20 of them. I was so stuck because I ended up liking all the combos. I started with about 35… so whatever was posted was narrowed down.
I went with #19 as this one was the one that kept coming up in the thread.

This will be used for a client who isn’t sure yet what path to take in terms of branding and identity. The final artwork will be posted one day. Thanks for the help; it turned out to be the colours she loves.

“Boxed in”

Posted in : design blahg

This is a pencil drawing of mine, titled “boxed in”.
It doesn’t signify anything that relates to me… but actually it relates to all of us.
Winter sometimes makes you feel like this because in the summer its easier to get out and enjoy nature. Although our winter has been nothing but good to us this year, it still has us feeling down. Winter Blah’s is the term. Did you know that every Monday in January is considered the highest stress days of the year?

Turn that frown upside down!
I urge you to get out there… spend time with your family.
There are plenty of things you can do in the winter… skating, skiing/snowboarding. Take a walk outside but make sure you bundle up. If you are not an outdoorsy person, head to the mall, or somewhere you can occupy your mind for a couple of hours.

Live it up Canada!!
